UN Climate Change News, 18 September 2018 - In a third round of transparently sharing updates on achieving their 2020 emission reduction targets, some 14 developed countries are set to present their achievements in implementing climate policies.

Known as the ‘multilateral assessment’, the update will take place during the forty-ninth session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), to be held at the annual Climate Change Conference (COP24) in Katowice, Poland in December 2018.

The update will focus on successful implementation and lessons learned. It will be interactive in nature, meaning that Governments can engage in an open and constructive conversation in a bid to be transparent about their actions. This level of transparency enables the direct sharing of best practices in the implementation of climate policies and actions.
